Nits about the car:
 | Why aren't there cruise control & stereo control buttons on the steering wheel? I've recently rented a Jaguar XJ8 and a Olds Alero and both of these had some controls on the steering
wheel. They are very convenient. Make them an option for those that prefer the bare sporty side of the 'vette. |
 | The heads-up display is nice; eventually I'd like to see a full LCD image up there for route information, etc. The LED display currently used does work well but I would like to see some
color for important information. |
 | What is up with the gas reserve/low fuel indicator? The tanks are rated for 19.1 gallons but I've barely put even 16 1/2 gallons in it. At first I was tripped up due to the reserve fuel
and low fuel indicators. After I realized one could press reset to temporarily clear these from the D.I.C. I was much happier. (Driver Information Center or D.I.C., what a horrible acronym,
except I can fully claim that my 'vette is not DICless). |
 | The cargo lids in the bottom of the trunk just don't latch well for me. One never has latched; when I latch it if I just wait about 30 seconds it will pop out. |
 | I wish that tweeters for the stereo were put on the A pillars, like lots of other cars. Particularly on the convertible when the top is down and there is a passenger in the car the high
end is effectively lost. Putting the tweeters on the pillars gives a direct shot from the tweeters to both driver and passenger. |
 | The "analog" speedometer is often different by one MPH from the numeric one shown in the HUD (the analog is closer to what my GPS says). The cruise control (which displays the
set speed on the DIC) matches the analog speedo, not the numeric one. |
Other comments about the car:
o I'd like to find a good place to mount a GPS, small LCD screen (probably a Windows CE H/PC Pro), and a cell phone base. The car envelops me so well I don't see a convenient place to put
any of this.
